Planning out website layout
After various brainstorming I was able to iterate 2 design that I liked and I think would benefit as a artistic portfolio template (Below are the two iterations). In the end I decided to go with the first design iteration as I think it looked cleaner and more beginner friendly for the end users.Next steps
Start coding the website template. Will be elaborated on "Contribution 4" blog post.Reflection
In this contribution phase, I continued to use the skills I learned from Week 5's User Testing, Research, and Analysis. However, different from the previous phase, instead of conducting research, I applied the research findings to my work. This phase also provided me an opportunity to practice user-centered design.During this phase, I focused on imagining how an artist would like to showcase their work. I considered what information or data someone would want to include in their portfolio and prioritised those elements.
To ensure the best outcome for the open-source project, I went through several iterations of the design. I aimed to create a user-friendly and highly customisable design, settling on one that I believe fulfills these criteria.
